Down to the quiet bay
a host of tree swallows
leads Linda from the fray
to guideposts and salty shallows.
Beyond Henlopen Cape
a lurching pod of whales
jump beyond Stanley’s gape
sounding their tragic tales.
Ah, yes, a harras of horses,
all unknown to Michelle,
gallop as studly forces.
Too soon she’ll say farewell.
Tom’s new liberation
gives him time to scout
a home, and reposition
himself like a hover of trout.
A murmuration of sparrows
like many calls and bookings
is Nancy’s claim to kudos,
worn with handmade earrings.
What is the business of ferrets?
What their inquisitive search?
Audits? Tribbles? Kibbitz?
Ask Doug on his digital perch.
If Charlotte were reincarnated,
she’d be one in a gaggle of geese.
They honk when they hang congregated.
No down, –She’ll wear only fleece.
Jim is swimming to school
with a reunion of dolphins;
he thinks they are really cool,
just not as much as his herons.
Here’s not one herd of elephants;
Lewes would need a zoo.
Birds are the only residents
Jim loves,–
Oh, fishhooks! Forgot to count you!

Thanks Jim. With your poetic words, we can remember certain highlights of the reunion! The family gathering was a special time; glad thete’s a poem to remind us of the specialness of the occasion.
The accompanying photo is a keeper too!
Great poem to commemorate our reunion. Many good memories
