Doppelgänger

  • by

” I didn’t see you

backing into me.

You had driven past.”

“Trying to back in

to avoid accidents.

Backing out too fast.”

“I think I’ve lost it.

Yesterday the same

play, different cast.”

“Two days ago, I turned

left out of this lot.

Just missed getting clipped.”

“Maybe I should check into

a mental hospital.

I think I’ve really flipped.”

“It’s a wild and crazy world

for us wild and crazy guys.

I can see my mind has slipped.”

Adrenalin waves buckle

my knees. His eyes seek a cue.

He’s me. I’m him. And I am

unzipped. Lost, without a script.
