Act 3

Cassie, you know I have to leave.

Find Vladimir and Estragon.

Give them my message

tell them not to grieve.

Didi and Gogo,

No need to wait for Godot.

Come and tend my sheep!

Your Gal Gadot.”

Gadot:

I am counting on your youth.

There’s no one I trust more.

Persuade them with your charm.

Twirl the Lasso of  Truth.*

Cassie, back so soon? You’re a wreck.

They told me Godot has no sheep, just goats.

I bleated GA-DOT.”

We’re waiting for Godot.

Leave or we’ll wring your neck.”

I’m counting on your youth-

There’s no one I trust more.

Persuade them with your charm.

Twirl the Lasso of  Truth.

Cassie, what do you mean

They’re “waiting for Godot”?

Didn’t they hear “Gal Gadot”?

What else could you glean?

I am counting on your youth.

There’s no one I trust more.

Persuade them with your charm.

Twirl the Lasso of  Truth.

Cassie:

They wanted your lasso of truth.

What for? I asked.

To hang ourselves. Our rope’s too short.

Godot’s not coming,’ Didi rasped.

I am counting on your youth.

There’s no one I trust more.

Persuade them with your charm.

Twirl the Lasso of  Truth.

Cassie:

I said they would be paid.

They preferred to get laid

without the lasso of truth.

They’re not into bondage, like you.

I am counting on your youth.

There’s no one I trust more.

Entice them with your charm.

Twirl the Lasso of  Truth.

Cassie:

They liked my thigh-high boots

They asked, “Any extras?

Our feet are killing us–

 we’re two old piss-poor coots.”

I am counting on your youth.

There is no one I trust more.

Persuade them with your charm.

Use the Lasso of  Truth.

Cassie:

I showed them your two bronze bracelets,

ones deflecting bullets.

They said they don’t need swag;

what they need are cutlets.

I am counting on your youth.

There’s no one I trust more.

Persuade them with your charm.

Twirl the Lasso of  Truth.

Cassie, You left them by the tree?

Nothing happened? Something happened?

They stood up, they sat down?

Gogo cried? Didi left to pee?

Two tramps long in the tooth

waiting for Godot,

or was it Gal Gadot?

They flung off  the Lasso of Truth.
